Canelo vs Triple G Open Workout Highlights - Monday saw the boxing world's attention turn to Los Angeles as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin took to the streets for an open workout and media day. The pair meet at the T-Mobile Arena and on HBO pay-per-view on Saturday, September 16th.
Golovkin (37-0) will be defending his IBF, WBA and WBC world titles in the 160-pound middleweight division against Alvarez (49-1-1), who is one of the sport's biggest draws. The match-up has been talked about for several years as Alvarez once held the WBC world title but he vacated it in pursuit of big money fights. Now, "Canelo" feels the time is right to come back and reclaim the belt at middleweight.
