Gervonta Davis vs Francisco Fonseca Falls Apart - Friday afternoon in Las Vegas saw the weigh-ins go down for Saturday's boxing card at the T-Mobile Arena. The main event sees Floyd Mayweather Jr taking on Conor McGregor and two world title fights were set to air on the PPV in support.
News is coming in from source sin Las Vegas that state the Gervonta Davis vs Francisco Fonseca IBF world super featherweight bout is off. Davis came in 2 pounds over the 130 pound super featherweight limit and from their the two parties were unable to come to an agreement. As for Fonseca, the 19-0-1 Costa Rican made the weight and appeared to be ready to go.
The failure to come to an agreement leaves the promotion with just the Nathan Cleverly versus Badou Jack WBA world light heavyweight fight in support of the main event. The fight was set to air on Showtime PPV.
Davis won his world title earlier this year in New York City and this was slated to be his second title defense overall and his first in the United States.
