Mayweather Jr vs McGregor - The upcoming Floyd Mayweather Jr versus Conor McGregor promotion is about to start the hype machine rolling as Tuesday, July 11[SUP]th[/SUP] will see both men come together at the Staples Center in Los angles, California for a press conference.

Many have called the press conferences more compelling than what will actually happen in the ring as Mayweather is a fighter who likes to control all aspects of his presentation while McGregor thrives on the chaos he brings with him to his public appearances. A tour is in the works with stops in New York, Las Vegas and London being talked about so the hype train and publicity is being given importance over training by both men roughly six weeks before the fight.

Lest we forget that we have moved out of the world of pure sport and into the world of theatrics and spectacle, the promoters are distributing tickets for the July 11[SUP]th[/SUP] press conference. Though the tickets are free, there is already concern over the number of people that may show up to see Floyd Mayweather Jr and Conor McGregor finally come face to face.

The pair will finally meet in what is being called a twelve round boxing match this Saturday, August 26[SUP]th[/SUP] in Las Vegas, Nevada and on Pay-per-view in what is expected to be a box office smash.

Tickets for Tuesday’s press conference are expected to be available starting Friday, July 7[SUP]th[/SUP].

So, there is plenty of buzz, but how does everyone weigh in on this event? Who wins? How and why? Also how does this event impact the future of boxing? MMA? Does it matter which fighter wins? What does everyone think?

Everything about this is going to be contrived. I was wondering what McGregor was going to do because the subjects of wife beating and illiteracy are kind of taboo subjects around Mayweather and McGregor likes to talk trash, so what was Conor going to do? Well lo and behold, the tax story breaks......
